    Hi Folks

We encountered a new problem yesterday.

    1. New run
    2. Record
    3. Save run / New run
    4. Write some notes
    5. Choose a file name in Save As dialog

    “Please Wait…..Decompressing Data File: C:Program FilesDYNO-MAXTempRunsNew Run # 2 created on 2020-01-19 @ 14-29-20.runB.raw” stops at 51%.

Error message: Unable to Open Raw Data File C:Program FilesDYNO-MAXTempRunsNew Run # 2 created on 2020-01-19 @ 14-29-20.runB.raw Would you like to browse for it?

    – If I choose “no” it shows a messagebox “Unable to open Raw Data File C:Program FilesDYNO-MAXTempRunsNew Run # 2 created on 2020-01-19 @ 14-29-20.runB.raw”, the next messagebox is “Runtime Error!” and DYNO-MAX crashes.

    – If I choose “yes” to browse for it, an file open dialog directs me to the file, but when I open it, it sais “New Run # 2 created on 2020-01-19 @ 14-29-20.runB.raw This file is in use. Enter a new name or close the file that’s open in another program. Choosing cancel at this point, show a messagebox “Unable to open Raw Data File C:Program FilesDYNO-MAXTempRunsNew Run # 2 created on 2020-01-19 @ 14-29-20.runB.raw”, the next messagebox is “Runtime Error!” and DYNO-MAX crashes.

I guess that “the other program” is DYNO-MAX itself, (there is only on instance of DYNO-MAX running) and I don’t understand how to get out of this.

The TempRuns folder is filling up with raw-files. None of which is older than yesterday.

    Win7 SP1, DYNO-MAX “Pro” Version 10.23 SP #1

Sounds like you must have two boards communicating with the program at one time. That is completely fine, as long as your console’s status bar reads “Ready” prior to testing, the program should have no trouble sourcing the .rawB file. If you aren’t using a second board then you will need to that second board from your communications ports setup menu, in order to save the data.

If non of the above helps then you could also try to access the programs preferences menu and re-pick the save as paths and/or try to use the “Reset Preferences to installed defaults” option located on the miscellaneous tab of the preferences menu.

Does the consoles status bar read “Ready” prior to testing?

Hey, I use the LM2 files supplied by Adam as a DAQ input as well.

Something I noticed early on is that the recording would give this error if at any point during the recording the Wideband went into O2 mode (ie 22 afr).

I find that I can get around this somewhat by using Lambda instead of AFR Scaling.

If your not using the LM2, or not getting accurate readings from it, you will have to remove it from the DAQ list to be able to save recordings.

“Does the consoles status bar read “Ready” prior to testing?”
Now it does, after you pointed me in the right direction.

“If your not using the LM2, or not getting accurate readings from it, you will have to remove it from the DAQ list to be able to save recordings.”
You can also select “null” instead of RS232.

    Problem solved, thanks guys :)
